Unique and elegant Italian design

The Maserati Quattroporte is an extraordinary car, in part due to its impressive and inimitable design. Since 1963, the challenge of stylistically combining the sporting performance and the classical elegance of the most famous Italian luxury sedan has fascinated the greatest designers: Pietro Frua, Bertone, Giorgetto Giugiaro, Marcello Gandini and Pininfarina. Now, the model that represents the epitome of the Maserati philosophy has been restyled in line with tradition to represent the perfect synthesis of luxury and power.

Contemporary restyling for an iconic Italian super-sedan

The famous radiator grille is the first detail of an unmistakable design

Although considerably larger in size, the new Maserati Quattroporte GTS is a worthy successor to its forebears, retaining a streamlined and utterly dynamic look. The first detail of this unmistakable design is the distinctive front end: the traditional Maserati oval grille, which leads on to the majestic hood and the new front headlight assemblies, with LED day lights, stylistic features that make the Quattroporte immediately recognizable.

The profile of a sporting character

The headlights blend into the seductive profile, punctuated by three classic Maserati air vents located behind the front wheels, flowing in a sequence of muscular curves to meet the new rear light assemblies. The triangular C-pillar, which carries the iconic Saetta logo, is another obvious link to tradition, and an uncompromising expression of the model’s innate sporting character.

Aerodynamic forms, styled in the wind tunnel, enclose a spacious interior

New LED rear lights

The dynamic profile of the Maserati Quattroporte is enhanced by a continuous expanse of side glass; three streamlined windows without frames on the doors give the elegant sedan the look of a sleek coupe. The all-LED wraparound rear lights integrate perfectly with the design of the rear bumpers and trunk lid, and are joined together by a chrome-plated central trim that echoes the design of the Maserati grille. Beneath the bumper, at the sides, two brushed steel trapezoidal tailpipes are an eye-catching feature, and a defining signature of the Quattroporte GTS.

A style shaped by the wind

The lines of the Maserati Quattroporte, designed around a powerful engine, enclose a spacious interior and are the result of in-depth research in the wind tunnel. The large-scale aerodynamic restyling of the car’s undercarriage has improved airflow beneath its body, thus reducing wind resistance. Even the subtle rear spoiler is designed to generate downforce at high speeds.

An exclusive interior, painstakingly handcrafted in the finest tradition

Stepping into the Maserati Quattroporte GTS is like entering an exclusive lounge. Although extremely intuitive, the onboard controls are understated so that they don’t steal the limelight from the real stars: the fine surfaces and luxurious materials. Sumptuous Italian Premium leather, elegant stitching details and fine wood trim emphasize the sleek lines of the dashboard, central tunnel and doors, enveloping the passengers in an atmosphere of luxury.

An elegant dashboard that alludes to speed

The tapered lines of the dashboard are punctuated by a broad central band running across its entire width in a celebration of speed and elegance. Simplicity and quality are expressed through finely crafted details such as the brushed aluminium framing the display of the Maserati Touch Control, a dominant element at the center of the dash.

Space reigns supreme

On board the Maserati Quattroporte, comfort is a wonderful sensation, most keenly experienced when on the move. Special attention has been paid to the seating design, in an interior layout that maximizes the sense of spaciousness for front and rear passengers. The longer wheelbase of the new Quattroporte has enabled Maserati to offer rear passengers a degree of legroom that few sedans in its category can match.

The soundtrack of our emotions

The 8.4-inch display of the Maserati Touch Control, located at the center of the dashboard, is a comprehensive control panel that allows simple operation of the many information and entertainment devices in the Quattroporte. Seated inside the sumptuous interior, the pleasure of in-car music reaches new heights thanks to state-of-the-art car audio technologies developed together with specialist engineers Bowers & Wilkins.

    Lighting with an original glint

The new Maserati Quattroporte redefines the concept of luxury in every detail. The elegant atmosphere of the interior is enhanced by an innovative night-lighting system: an optic fiber cable runs along the dashboard and doors, creating a soothing mood at home in an exclusive lounge. There is also white backlighting on the instrument panel, where the speedometer and rpm-counter are separated by a display that shows the car’s dynamic data.

For music connoisseurs seeking more power, more dynamism, and an extra dimension of emotional realism, the optional Harman Kardon Premium Sound System brings new levels of audio refinement to the Maserati Quattroporte. With ten high-powered speakers carefully positioned throughout the cabin, the system produces 360 degrees of sublime sound reproduction despite the listeners` seating position. A special high-performance subwoofer handles the low-end frequencies with ease, whilst the mid-range drivers and tweeters ensure that every instrument makes its presence felt on this virtual concert platform. Standard equipped for the entire Quattroporte range.

Concert-hall acoustics thanks to the Bowers & Wilkins High Premium sound system

The Maserati Quattroporte can be equipped with the highest option offered with Premium Surround system, created in association with high-end sound specialists Bowers & Wilkins. The system, with a 16-channel 1,280-watt amplifier and 15 speakers, blends perfectly into the design of the interior and guarantees unparalleled sound with unbeatable dynamic purity.

When music is played on a digital device, it is digitally compressed, which inevitably removes many of the subtle audio details that were originally recorded. To rectify this, the Bowers & Wilkins System features a special music restoration process called Clari-Fi, which instantly scans all types of compressed audio files and intelligently corrects any deficiencies detected. As a result, the missing highs and lows are recaptured, vocals are restored to their natural tone, and distortions are removed.

The Quattroporte is driven by the most innovative engine in Maserati’s history

Throughout its history, Maserati has been famed for its innovative engine design. In this respect, the new 3.8-liter, twin-turbocharged V8 installed in the Quattroporte GTS sets new standards, with a long list of sophisticated solutions that make this the most high-tech design ever installed in a Maserati automobile. With 523 HP, it allows the Quattroporte to achieve a top speed of 191 mph (307 km/h).

The Quattroporte is driven by the most innovative engine in Maserati’s history

Driving the Quattroporte is an absolute pleasure

Even with its long wheelbase, a design specification that establishes record-breaking levels of ride comfort, the new Maserati Quattroporte still offers the outstanding handling expected of every Maserati automobile. Thanks to the optimal weight distribution between the front and rear axles, the Quattroporte GTS exhibits exceptional balance and the handling dynamics of a true sports sedan. What’s more, the new steering system has been developed to give the driver unrivalled feedback and a connected “feel” of the car during spirited driving and when cornering at speed.

The suspension features the latest evolution of the Sport Skyhook system

The suspension, double wishbone with aluminium arms at the front and five-arm multilink at the rear, is controlled by the latest version of Maserati’s Sport Skyhook electronic system, with new shock absorbers featuring continuous damping variation. Pressing the button on the central console switches to a more rigid damper setting, limiting load transfers when driving with a sportier style.

The 8-speed automatic transmission allows even quicker gear shifts

The new 8-speed ZF automatic transmission with auto-adaptive software is lighter and more efficient than the previous generation and allows even faster gear shifts. The last two speeds are specially developed to reduce fuel consumption, lower noise and increase comfort during long journeys at high speed. There are five operating modes: Auto Normal, Auto Sport, Manual Normal, Manual Sport and the new I.C.E. (Increased Control Efficiency).

Brakes that deliver performance and quiet operation

The brake system engineered for the Maserati Quattroporte is developed by Brembo, and offers impressive new features, designed to deliver quieter operation without reducing performance. The monobloc calipers, with six pistons at the front and four at the rear, act on ventilated, slotted discs of 380 x 34 mm and 350 x 28 mm respectively, dual-cast to combine the properties of iron with the lightweight of aluminium.

On the Quattroporte, the final touch of style comes straight from the customer

Attention to details is ingraned in our heritage, an obsession of Maserati builders. The Maserati Quattroporte is a car forged by expertise and passion and produced with craftsman-like care. However, one more aspect can make it truly distinctive: therefore, the final touch of refinement is left to the customer, who can choose colors and materials for every detail to enhance one or more facets of the character of this Italian design gem. This personalization results in a unique car every time.

Keynote wheels for an elegant or sporty exterior

The completely renewed range of exterior colors comprises eight shades, which can be combined with four types of wheels: the standard 20-inch wheel, GTS Anthracite Diamantato, offers the perfect compromise between sporty response and comfort, but customers may also choose 19-inch wheels for lower fuel consumption and quieter operation, or a 21-inch design for even sportier handling. There are five brake caliper colors: black, red, blue, silver grey or polished aluminium.

The choicest materials and infinite combinations

The Maserati Quattroporte’s incredible variety of interior treatments guarantees near-unique exclusivity as a made-to-measure luxury lounge: the three-level dashboard has a large central portion which, like the central console and contrasting door inserts, can be finished with a choice of five different fine woods with very distinct finishes.

A sport interior trimmed in carbon fiber

To underline the new Quattroporte’s sporting character, the central band of the dashboard, the central tunnel and the trim can be given a special carbon fiber finish. Sport pedals are another option: the brushed steel pedals and footrest with special rubber inserts offer unrivalled grip and feature the oval Maserati logo.

An array of custom features for rear passengers

Maserati has reserved a long list of customized features for the back seat of the Quattroporte to make every passenger’s journey a unique experience. As well as the two individual electrically adjusted and ventilated seats, the options available for the rear passengers include a dedicated climate control system and a sophisticated entertainment unit with two 10.2-inch LCD screens installed on the front headrests.

    Ermenegildo Zegna dressed Maserati

Dedicated craftspeople choose to work with only the finest materials available; how fitting that Maserati has commissioned Ermenegildo Zegna, one of the world’s foremost fashion houses and producer of fine fabrics. The company, still in family ownership after over 100 years, has much in common with Maserati, with its Italian tradition of excellence and innovation.

The partnership will produce new, exclusive Zegna Edition interiors, creating a dynamic contemporary look for the Quattroporte. The models stand out from the current Quattroporte range thanks to its special colour finishes, materials and trims. They are a tribute to the harmony of opposites, a stylistic synthesis between sophisticated design and technological dynamism.

This exclusive new product style interpretation targets the most discerning drivers and passengers, a luxury bracket of precious detail lovers. They know luxury by feel, and will no doubt feel fully indulged surrounded by the truly exquisite materials chosen for the Zegna interiors. The finest leather is combined with natural fibre Zegna Mulberry Silk inserts on the seats, door panels, roof lining, sunshades and ceiling light fixture. The Silk is embellished with a hand-stitched micro-chevron. Seating features a central silk insert with a macro-chevron weave. Door panels, roof lining and sunshades are covered with Zegna silk jersey. Three different colour combinations of leather/silk and contrasting stitching will be offered. In all, the Zegna Edition Quattroporte marks the first milestone toward the renewed, future product line-up for Maserati, further enhancing the character and aesthetic value of this iconic marque.

State of the art safety & technology

The body frame of the new Quattroporte, constructed around a rigid steel safety cell, is made largely from alluminum, whilst special stiffening cross members ensure outstanding torsional rigidity. The Quattroporte also features a range of active safety systems including the Maserati stability system which is an advanced electronic control system.

The very highest levels of passive safety

The Maserati Quattroporte is equipped with six airbags. Two front airbags, both dual-stage, protect the driver and front passenger in the event of collision, whilst their chests and hips are further protected by two side airbags located in the front seats. There are also two window airbags fitted in the roof next to the central pillar that protect the heads of the front and rear passengers if the car is struck from the side. The seatbelts, both front and rear, are fitted with electronically controlled pyrotechnic pretensioners and the latest generation load limiters. The system communicates with a sensor to determine the seriousness of a collision, and then instantly reels in the optimum amount of belt so that the body is effectively restrained. If the car is hit from behind, the active headrests of the two front seats automatically move closer to the passenger’s head to reduce the risk of whiplash injury.
